Derek Warfield & The Young Wolfe Tones

The band has just spent most of the summer in the recording studio in between gigs and Derek told us “we’re delighted to let everyone know that we have some new and exciting recordings in the pipeline. I’ve finally (after eight years) completed and gone to print with my new CD Washington’s Irish, Volume 1, which highlights the song, music, literature and poetry of the Irish contributions and involvement in The American Revolution. It will be launched in New York on November 25th, 2011.

Damaris Woods our banjo player has also just completed her first but very exciting solo tenor banjo album With a banjo on My Knee and I must say if advance interest is anything to go by there’s plenty of people looking forward to these long awaited musical productions.

Also on the recording front after the success of our two previous CD’s, with great sales and lots of demands Derek Warfield & The Young Wolfe Tones are delighted to announce that in the coming months they will have their third Band album Twenty tracks with ten new Irish Ballads and music that have never been recorded before.”
