2011’s Last Big Festival, SLIGO LIVE is getting ready to welcome an array of International artists and thousands of dedicated fans to Sligo this October Bank Holiday Weekend.  SLIGO LIVE, folk, roots and indie music Festival runs over 6 days from October 26th – 31st.  With over 100 performances, 400 performers, and with 80% free your only problem is choosing which gig to go to next!

See Elvis Costello and KT Tunstall as well as Hayseed Dixie, Oddsocks Revival, The Barley Mob, Matt Molloy, John Carty, Arty McGlynn, and THE UNWANTED.  The Scottish connection with Rachel Sermanni, Admiral Fallow, The Staves, The Dirty Beggars, Rura, The JPTrio and Blue Murder Emerald Noir  .  Sligo Live has joined with writers and theatre companies to introduce UNDER BARE BEN BULBEN’S HEAD: an innovative and compelling new spoken word dimension.  This year’s Festival will also feature Café Culture Emerging Artists Showcase All Day Every Day of the Festival, Traditional Sessions, Fiddler of Dooney Competition, French Food Markets, and climaxing with the hilarious World Air Fiddle Championships.   www.sligolive.ie
