Féile Ceoil Chill Chartha–The Kilcar Fleadh, Co. Donegal

The Kilcar Fleadh has now become a much anticipated annual event, attracting people from all corners of the world and is now seeing a great number of people returning year after year. With a number of free events including street performances, a ceilí on the main street and the magnificent “echoes of the Glen” it is a great festival for those under strict budget or families looking for a week of traditional Irish entertainment “Donegal Style”.

Workshops/classes run all week in singing, fiddle, accordion tin whistle, guitar and dancing. A charity walk is held annually in conjunction with the Sliabh Liag Hillwalkers and takes you on a breath taking walk of the near–by Sliabh Liag Cliffs. The Festival includes a Heritage day on the Friday which includes demonstrations of local craft making. There are three seated concerts throughout the week, Previous headliners include: Moya Brennan, De Dannan, Mairead Ní Mhaonaigh, Dermot Byrne to name but a few.
