The annual bilingual Earagail Arts Festival is celebrating is 25th year of artistic programming in Co. Donegal. The festival is renowned for hosting the very best of music, theatre, visual arts and literature and this year will be no different. Paul Brown, Festival Director with the Earagail Arts Festival commented…“We’re really looking forward to this year’s festival, shows like Clannad & Altan and Josh Ritter which reflect the local and international flavour of the festival and which we announced at the end of last year are selling really well already, so we’re well under way in making this a real birthday party”.

This year has more new shows and commissions than any other year and the organisers are delighted at securing the Edinburgh Fringe hit show The Animals & the Children Took to the Streets by 1927.

They will also showcase some of the best names in world, folk and traditional music like Mercury Music Prize nominee Sam Lee and Mokoomba from Zimbabwe as part of the Global Voices music programme as well as the finale of the Songfest project.

The festival also has a wide variety of children’s and family events. The hugely successful Global Village Gathering on the July 20th and 21st is a free event, with a wealth of activities for the whole family including craft fair, local foods, vintage games, comedy, circus and music.
