July 27th – 31st, 2015

www.kilcaronline.com

This year’s Kilcar Fleadh takes place from Monday, 27th to Friday,  July 31st with registration for the various workshops in Áislann Chill Chartha from 11.00am to 1.30pm on Monday.  ‘The Ramblin’ Session’, a new event introduced last year officially launches the Fleadh on Monday evening. The Crossroads Dance takes place on Tuesday evening. Echoes in the Glen, a unique event that has proved very popular especially with visitors takes place as usual on Thursday evening with a complimentary bus service from outside the Áislann at 7.00pm.

Concerts take place in the Parish Hall on Wednesday and Friday evening at 8.30pm featuring the cream of Donegal musicians and singers. The Wednesday concert features the tutors from the workshops and possibly some surprise guests and there will be a rare opportunity to hear friends Martin Wilson (accordeon) and Fidil member Aidan O’Donnell (fiddle) from Dunkineely at the Friday night concert. The very popular Heritage Day takes place on Friday from noon until 6.00 pm and of course the Fleadh includes pub and street sessions.

The Kilcar Fleadh has probably the best value in music workshops of any festival. Workshops are available with top tutors every day  from Monday to Friday with the following choice available: fiddle; accordion; tin whistle; guitar; and dancing.

To avoid disappointment you may book in advance for the workshops by contacting email: kilcar.fleadh@gmail.com, telephone 086 1931873 or 087 9709540.  For more information and updates visit www.kilcaronline.com  or the Kilcar Online Facebook page.
