Kieran Goss with guest Annie Kinsella to perform at Hook Lighthouse

On Saturday evening July 1st internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Kieran Goss who will also be joined by special guest Annie Kinsella will host an evening concert in the Hook Lighthouse Tower.

Long hailed as one of Ireland’s leading songwriters and performers, Kieran Goss’s music has won him fans across the globe. But if his songs have made him a star, his live shows have made him a legend.

Music Network today announced the results of the Music Capital Scheme 2016. A total of €189,000 in funding from the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs has been awarded to 22 performing groups and 15 individual musicians.

Debut Album Launch from Artisan Row

On Friday 21 April, the London-based traditional/folk quartet, will release its debut album, Wild Winds, in a concert at the beautiful St Cyprian’s Church, Clarence Gate (near Baker St), Glentworth St, London NW1 6AX. Doors open at 7.00 pm. Tickets £10.

Ireland’s Daoirí Farrell wins two awards in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards

Held at The Royal Albert Hall in London on 5th April 2017

Now in its 18th year the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards celebrate the stars of folk, roots and acoustic music and their achievements in the previous year. Past winners have included Tom Paxton, Cat Stevens, Don McLean and The Dubliners and the awards have notably spotted young talents who have gone on to dominate the genre through the Horizon Award for the year’s best newcomer with past winners including Rachel Unthank & The Winterset, Julie Fowlis, Karine Polwart, Jim Moray, Spiers & Boden and Cara Dillon.

Michael O’Riordan Receives Midem Gold Pioneer Medal

Renowned Irish music publisher Michael O’Riordan has been awarded the Midem Gold Pioneer Medal for his extensive contribution to the Music Business. The medal was presented to O’Riordan, the only Irish person to receive the award, by IMRO CEO Victor Finn and Keith Donald, Chairman of IMRO’s Board of Directors.
