Return of ‘Riches of Clare’ series

Is music to ears of lunchtime concert fans

Now in its third year, the summer series will be held on each Wednesday over eleven weeks in Ennistymon, Kilrush, Ballyvaughan, Ennis and Sixmilebridge. The participating musicians are locally based and include Jerry Lynch, Sinead Heagney, Edel Fox, Tommy Peoples, Garry Shannon, Mick Conneely and Marin Glynn.

According to Finola Ryan, Concert Co-ordinator, “We have had such a positive response to the concerts over the past two years, both from audiences and musicians. An important aspect to the series is the fact admission is free, which we hope will encourage people to come along and brighten up their day with a few tunes at lunchtime!” “The ‘Riches of Clare’ lunchtime concert series is a Clare Arts Office initiative and is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland. Look out for posters and bookmarks of the series, which have been distributed throughout the County”, Ms. Ryan added.
