Cincinnati Celtic Festival

As an exciting kick-off to this special weekend, on Friday evening before the Festival you can experience ‘From Galway to Broadway’, A Tribute to Frank Patterson, Ireland’s Golden Tenor.

This nostalgic evening will feature Ciaran Sheehan (he starred on Broadway as The Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera), Gay Willis (Christine in The Phantom of the Opera), Eily O’Grady Patterson (She has performed many times on the BBC and as a featured harpist with the Boston Pops) and Cincinnati’s own Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Glee Club. CCM’s Corbett Theater will come alive with all the Irish tunes you love at 7:30pm on Friday, September 14th.

The Saturday night finale will feature The Prodigals, a band with a jig punk approach to Irish music! The Festival’s Grand Finale on Sunday will be Lúnasa, the spellbinding Irish music dream team!

The festival will feature over 500 musicians, dancers, actors, speakers and storytellers on 6 performance stages. International headliner acts include: Lúnasa (Ireland), Tommy Sands (Ireland) and Bodega (Scotland).

Nationally known performers include: Irish music legends Liz Carroll and John Doyle, John Skelton, Chulrua and The Prodigals and Clairseach. Regionally known performers include: Homeland, Fannigan’s Isle and Liam’s Fancy. Local musicians will be: Silver Arm, Clark and Jones, Murphy’s Law, Roger Drawdy & the Firestarters, Dark Moll, Ceol Mhor, The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick Glee Club, The Cincinnati Caledonian Pipes and Drums, The Real McCoys, The Blue Rock Boys, Deep Green Pool, Tri Werin, The Blarnacles, Lindsay Duncan, Michelle Rambo and others. Dance troupes include: The McGing Irish Dancers, Ohio Valley Scottish Dancers, The Erickson Academy of Irish Dance, The Cincinnati Highland Dancers, The Royal Scottish Country Dancers, The Celtic Rhythm Dancers and The Killeen-McCarthy Irish Dancers.
