Northern Ireland on show at the Smithsonian

Paul Flynn headed up an extensive mission from Northern Ireland to the USA in early July for the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Not just musicians but many other exponents of folk culture from storytellers to farmers, sports and games, trades and occupations were represented.

Musicians who travelled to Washington included: Armagh Pipers Club and the Vallely Family, Mary Fox and the All Set Ensemble, Armagh Rhymers, Aughakillymaude Community Mummers, Craobh Rua, Lucy Mulholland and Cuckoo’s Nest. Singer, Patricia Flynn, Four Men and a Dog, Len Graham, the players from Hidden Fermanagh, Jarlath Henderson, George Holmes, John Kennedy, The Low Country Boys, Roisin White Colum Sands, Tommy Sands, and Robert Watt on Highland Bagpipes.
