16 August, Scottish Young Traditional Musician of the Year Finalists’ Concert
This is a special concert featuring the cream of the new generation of Scottish musicians - the five finalists and winner of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician award 2007 plus winner of the previous year’s competition also.

Gaelic singer, Catriona Watt is the current award-holder; finalists are fiddler Mike Vass, Gaelic singer, Darren MacLean, plus accordionist Martin Hunter, piper, Calum MacCrimmon and flautist, Calum Stewart and they are together in one incredible band, the sound of a new Scotland.

The tour will also include last year’s winner, fine fiddler, Shona Mooney from the Borders whose career has rocketed from the many opportunities she has been offered. Accompanists are Innes Watson on guitar and Mhairi Hall on keyboard. The tour is organised by Scotland’s Traditional Music and Song Association.
