In addition many pubs in Sligo will be exuding a fleadh-like atmosphere by holding free traditional music pub sessions throughout the weekend. Other artists confirmed to perform at Sligo Live are: Belfast based new trad super group, At First Light, Jon Kenny’s hilarious comedy reflecting the quirky side of Irish life and the fascinating combo of Mary McPartland, Tommie Peoples and Steve Cooney. Other highlights of the weekend will include Roots Music Dance Mixes, a nightly Festival Club with performance and session stages, Exclusive Master Classes in Sligo Style Traditional Music, Street Theatre, set dancing ceili, the celebrated and prestigious Fiddler of Dooney competition and a number of additional acts to be announced.
