O’CAROLAN HARP CULTURAL & HERITAGE FESTIVAL

Nobber, Co Meath

This festival which runs from 5-7 October 2007, celebrates the life of
Turlough Carolan, the last of the blind bards and features seminars,
lectures, a traditional music concert, harp and instrumental workshops and
harp competitions. The Festival will open on Friday night and run until
Sunday.

It will be followed by workshops on Saturday morning in harp, fiddle,
whistle, button accordion and banjo. There will be harp competitions in the
afternoon. At 8.00 p.m. a traditional concert will feature traditional
Irish group Téada. The concert will also feature The Meath Harp Ensemble.

On Sunday, from 3.00-6.00 p.m. there will be a Ceilí with music by ‘The
Four Provinces’ followed by an evening music session in a local pub.
