Happy New Year to you and a big thank you from The Saw Doctors for
supporting the band in 2007.

2008 got off to a great start with the news that The Saw Doctors are
to get a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s Meteor Irish Music
Awards in Dublin on February 15. There was a press reception last week
in Dublin to announce the Award which previously has been won by The
Pogues, Clannad, Christy Moore, Bob Geldof, and U2’s manager, Paul
McGuinness.

The Saw Doctors have now confirmed all sixteen concerts for this
Spring’s USA tour which begins in Annapolis, MD on Tuesday February
26. I’m enclosing below a list of all the sixteen dates. I would be
grateful if you would email the dates to all your friends all over the
USA.

Unfortunately, there will be no Boston show this March as the
Paradise is under renovation and the Roxy has some issues with the
City Authorities over the venue capacity. Instead, The Saw Doctors
will play in Worcester, MA on Sunday March 16 at The Hanover Centre.
Tickets go on sale for this Worcester show on Monday next, January 21.

I have two tickets to give away for all sixteen shows including the
two New York Shows at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square. To enter a

The Saw Doctors will play Ayr Racecourse in Scotland on Friday April
18 and Sandown Park Racecourse on Saturday April 26. Both Saw Doctors
concert will take place after the last horse race at approx. 5.30 p.m.
In between these two shows, The Saw Doctors will travel to Europe to
play Hamburg on Monday April 21, Amsterdam’s Melkweg on Tuesday April
22 and Brussels on Wednesday April 23.

The Saw Doctors will celebrate their Lifetime Achievement Award by
playing a small intimate Dublin show on Friday February 22 at The
Academy (formerly Spirit) in Middle Abbey Street. Tickets go on sale

The Saw Doctors have booked a studio in Galway for the next four
weeks in order to begin recording their new studio album. Davy and Leo
have written a new bunch of songs and Shamtown Records are planning a
September 08 release for the new album CD. The band’s manager Ollie
Jennings has told me that there won’t be any gigs in May or June this
year as the band have block booked the Galway studio for these two
months to finish recording the new album.
