The Celtic Colours International Festival is entering its 12th year of celebrating the only living Celtic culture in North America. The event tales place on beautiful Cape Breton Island, off Canada’s east coast, when the fall leaves are at the height of their glory.

One of the unique aspects of Celtic Colours is that it takes place in communities all over Cape Breton Island. This model encourages our visitors to experience the many communities that have maintained our culture for the past 250 years.

The festival features the finest Celtic artists from around the world together with many of the wonderful Cape Breton artists who live there but travel the globe.

International guests in previous years have included the Chieftains, Altan, Dougie MacLean, Carlos Núñez, Phil Cunningham, Béla Fleck, Blazing Fiddles and many more.

Events take place in all manner of venues ranging from fire halls and churches to soft seat theatres and arenas. You will meet up with festival goers from 25 countries as well as enjoy some of the genuine hospitality that Cape Breton is known for around the world.
