STOKES BAY FESTIVAL LINE-UP ANNOUNCED

Capercaillie, The Levellers, Saw Doctors, Bellowhead, Show of Hands & more at a 4-day Hampshire music festival in stunning seafront location

Capercaillie; The Levellers; The Saw Doctors; Bellowhead; Show of Hands; Martyn Joseph; Michael McGoldrick and Glenn Tilbrook of ‘Squeeze’ are among the many star names confirmed for the Stokes Bay (Wickham) Festival in Hampshire this summer.

The 4-day Festival runs from Thursday 31 July to Sunday 3 August at a picturesque seafront location with stunning views over the English Channel and Isle of Wight.

Other artists include The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain; Dick Gaughan; Chumbawamba (acoustic); Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill; The Blues Band; Huun Huur-Tu (Tuva); The New Rope String Band; Gretchen Peters; Devon Sproule; Roy Bailey & Tony Benn; Phill Jupitus & The Blockheads; The Shee; 3 Daft Monkeys; The David Munnelly Band; Karen Tweed’s Circa Compania; Kent DuChaine; The Chair; The Silk String Quartet (China); Lauren MacColl, Rachel Hair & Maeve Mackinnon; and many more.

Other attractions at the Festival include the Cirque de Normandy from France, a solar-powered cinema, puppet theatre, storytelling, street entertainers, Punch & Judy, healing area, dance displays, craft fayre and exotic foods fayre.

The Festival location at Stokes Bay near Alverstoke, Gosport is one of the most scenic settings for any festival in the U.K. with stunning views across the English Channel to the Isle of Wight. There’s over a mile of unspoilt coastline plus a golf course, seafront bistro, childrens paddling pool and pitch & putt course.

The Stokes Bay (Wickham) Festival is rated one of the safest and friendliest festivals in Britain with not a single theft, crime or incident of trouble in either 2006 or 2007.
