The tenth Return to Camden Town Festival will take place between Friday 24th October and Sunday 2nd November 2008.

Artists confirmed so far include - Paddy Keenan & Tommy O’ Sullivan, Nollaig Casey, Arty McGlynn, Máire Ní Chathasaigh & Chris Newman, At the Racket, John Wynne & John McEvoy, The Davey Family Céilí Band and Gerard Butler.

As in recent years, we have some preview events for the Festival. We are delighted to announce that Matt Molloy, John Carty and Arty McGlynn will be playing one date only in London on Thursday 5th June at the London Irish Centre on Camden Square to celebrate the launch of their album,Pathway to
the Well. In what is probably the most exciting Irish traditional music combination of recent times, Matt and John explore the rich and varied
tapestry of the fiddle and flute tradition of North Connaught.

Matt Molloy is regarded as the greatest exponent of traditional flute playing alive. A member of The Chieftains since 1979, he was also a founder
member of the legendary Bothy Band. John Carty’s musical prowess has grown steadily since his debut recording 12 years ago and he has since produced a
plethora of solo recordings. He is also a member of the bands At the Racket and and Patrick Street. Both Matt and John are recipients of the prestigious TG4 Musician of the year Award.

They are delighted to be joined by Ireland’s foremost guitar player, Arty McGlynn. Artys subtle guitar playing is the perfect accompaniment to this unique duet. Since 1979, when he recorded his first solo album, McGlynn’s Fancy, Arty has became one of the most sought after musicians in the
country, playing and recording with Christy Moore, Paul Brady, Donal Lunny,Liam O’Flynn, Matt Molloy and the Chieftains. He has also played as a
member of Planxty, Patrick Street, De Danann and the Van Morrison Band.

“This duet recording is a rip-roaring success and ends as it began, with world class grace and power.Pathway to the Well is one of those must-have flute and fiddle albums.
