RETURN TO CAMDEN TOWN FESTIVAL CELEBRATES ITS 10TH ANNIVERSARY IN REAL STYLE!

The UK’s internationally-renowned traditional Irish music, song and
dance festival returns to Camden for its tenth year on Friday 24th
October—featuring more top musicians, artists and teachers than ever
before. For ten action-packed days, some of the top traditional
players, singers and dancers from the UK, Ireland, and the US will
entertain and teach in a full programme of concerts, céilís,
workshops, sessions, and lectures for adults and children at all levels.

Artists include: Hibernian Rhapsody (featuring Frankie Gavin and
Damien Mullane), Paddy Keenan and Tommy O’Sullivan, Nollaig Casey,
Arty McGlynn, Máire Ní Chathasaigh and Chris Newman, At the Racket,
Dermot Byrne (Altan), Tom Morrow (Dervish), Éamonn Coyne (Salsa
Celtica) and Séamie O’Dowd (Dervish), Gerry Harrington and Peter
Horan, At First Light (featuring John McSherry and Donal O’Connor),
Andy Martyn and Kevin Boyle, John Wynne and John McEvoy, Gerard
Butler, the Davey Family Céilí Band, Maggie Boyle and Gary Boyle, Ivy
Leaf Céilí Band, Patrick O’Dea, Roscommon Flutes, The Long Notes,
McNamara Céilí Band, Sam Proctor and Chris O’Malley, Tony Kearney,

Following Return to Camden Town Festival’s hugely successful
involvement in the BBC Proms Fold Day at the Royal Albert Hall, we’re
looking forward to preview events on Monday 25th August from
12.00-3.00pm at Camden Lock, a family day of music and dance featuring
Sinead and Nuala Hayes, Karen Ryan, Owen Condon and Jim Kane, with the
opportunity to learn how to céili dance.  Our preview set dancing
céili, sponsored by the Irish World Newspaper, is being held at Cecil
Sharp House on Saturday 13th September, with music from the McNamara
Céili Band.
