The 22nd Annual Feakle Festival will take place from Wednesday 5th August – Tuesday 11th. As per other years the festival will be action packed with many varied and interesting cultural events. It will commence on Wednesday 5th with a “Celebration of Dance” being the theme.

Thursday morning will see the usual array of workshops right through until Saturday. On the same afternoon the now very popular nature walk will take place around the scenic Lough Graney culminating in refreshments and entertainment at Caher House.
Thursday evening will see the return of the very popular Youth Concert led by Mary McNamara, later that evening it is planned to hold a recital at Caher House.

Friday heralds the very popular fiddle recital and later that evening “Beal Tuinne” with Shaun Davey, Rita Connolly, Seamus Begley and more will perform. Martin Hayes & Dennis Cahill will top the bill also. The event will be held in St. Mary’s Church.

Saturday will again be a hive of activity with poetry, story-telling, singing and music sessions, evening concert with a Clare theme.

Open air performance will take place on Sunday.

Over the weekend the Tulla Céilí & Four courts will entertain set-dancers and on Monday evening the cross-roads dancing should provide great entertainment.

Overall this festival has the “Value added” factor and for discerning punters the dates Wed. 5th August to Tues. 11th Aug should be duly pencilled in.
