CLADDAGH RELEASE MP3s

www.claddaghrecords.com
With the advent of portable music players such as the Ipod the MP3 format of digital music storage has become mainstream and we all know that many groups are now distributing their music via this electronic medium. Claddagh records have recently released a series of MP3 albums details of which can be found on their website.

One that caught our eye was: Charles Guard - Avenging and Bright, Charles Guard is an expert on early Harp music and has drawn on many sources for the music presented here in a recording from 1977. He plays a wire-strung instrument modelled on the Sirr harp in the National Museum of Ireland and a modern gut-strung harp. The music on this recording is a representation of the sound heard in the Celtic countries throughout the centuries.
This recording has never been released on CD by Claddagh. It has been re-mastered from the original recordings and is now available for the first time as a Digital Download in high quality 192kbps MP3 format.
