As a purpose built Music Visitor Centre, Ceoláras Coleman has a lot to offer the visitor and is a treasure of information and music for the traditional music enthusiast! It is also a designated Regional Resource Centre for Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann.
The state of the art visitor centre is very innovative, with a twelve minute audio-visual presentation on the history of traditional Irish music. The well laid out exhibition area has touch screens with listening facilities which are dedicated to the musical styles and musicians of counties Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Fermanagh & U.S.A. There are also screens dedicated to musical instruments and instructions in two-hand and step dancing. An extensive archive houses a valuable collection of traditional music, singing, photographs, artefacts, etc.

The well-established music and gift shop in Ceoláras Coleman continues to offer a vast selection of CD’s, music books and instruments at great value. The Summer Seisiún will commence in the theatre on the first of July and continue twice weekly on Wednesday and Saturday nights during July and August. These Summer shows will feature the finest of traditional music, song and dance and will be presented by musicians of the highest calibre from the south Sligo area. Shows commence each night at 9pm. Admission €10 includes a complimentary cup of tea/coffee during interval.
