CULTURE NIGHT 2010

The Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) and Irish Association of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (IASCA) in association with some of Ireland’s top music magazines - Irish Music Magazine, State and Hot Press - will be hosting an evening of public interviews and live performances in Copyright House this Friday 24th September from 6:30pm onwards to celebrate this year’s Culture Night.

Taking part in the evening’s events will be Fight Like Apes who have just released their critically acclaimed 2nd album which went to No.1 in the Independent Irish Artist Charts, Choice Music Prize and Ivor Novello nominee Thomas Walsh of The Duckworth Lewis Method, esteemed songwriter, Mick Hanly, whose song ‘Past the Point of Rescue’ has been recorded by a multitude of artists, Sonny Condell, one half of Tír na nÓg and one of Ireland’s most prolific songwriters with 15 albums to his credit, James Vincent McMorrow who released his debut album ‘Early in the Morning’, to widespread critical acclaim in February, Meteor Award winning singer/songwriter Luán Parle, Choice Music Prize nominees Codes plus other special guests to be announced.

There will also be live music throughout the night including a performance by the award winning group Dílse, who joined us earlier this year as part of the IMRO Traditional Music Showcases at TradFest.
