The Town Hall Cavanis delighted to welcome Macalla na hÉireann Macalla na hÉireann –13 member Comhaltas Musicians Singers and Dancers Tour of Ireland to the Town Hall, Cavan Town in Honour of the ageless Seamus Fay, the lilter par excellence who was decreed the honorary president of the Fleadh 2010 on Wednesday 13th October at 8pm.

The annual Tour features the best of traditional talent drawn from all four Provinces of Ireland.

Cavan Lilter, Seamus Fay Drumconnick Cavan Town has been chosen for Comhaltas Macalla na hÉireann, the 2010 Comhaltas Concert Tour of Ireland which will cover 14 venues from the 10th – 23rd October.

The Manager of the tour is former President of Comhaltas, Jim Teevan a native of Milltown, Belturbet and living in Luton, UK.

Comhaltas Tours have been making Co Cavan an annual date on their itinerary for the last Twenty years and each year the show does not disappoint with an ever changing cast of talented performers who are drawn from all over Ireland and sometimes even beyond delivering what is sure to be a high quality performance. The Comhaltas Concert Tour gathers together the cream of Irish Traditional talent and the artistes appearing this year certainly have plenty of All Ireland titles and recognition to their credits. Amongst the faces were some more recognisable ones who have appeared on Comhaltas tours before as well as those new to the touring scene. Anyone who attends the concert will enjoy a rare treat by seeing Seamus Fay 4 times All Ireland Champion perform on his home turf.

This group of musicians and dancers act as great cultural ambassadors for Irish Traditional Culture and Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Éireann
