McNeills Pub and Music shop has served the people of Ireland and further afield since 1834, a renowned emporium for traditional Irish musicians and performing artists on capel street in the very centre of northside Dublin. A genuine piece of old decency with two open fires to warm the cockles of your heart, whilst enjoying a drop of the black stuff. The music shop has moved to the first floor over the pub specialising in the finest selection of pre-war and new banjo’s, fiddles, flutes, mandolins and many more.

There are nightly trad sessions all through the year with visiting musicians from all over Ireland coming to perform.

The owners of this pub and music shop are musicians and often join in the sessions. It is a pub frequented by Irish speakers, musicians, singers and all manner of characters both young and old.
