IRISH ASSOCIATION OF SONGWRITERS, COMPOSERS & AUTHORS (IASCA) IS NOW OPEN FOR MEMBERSHIP

www.iasca.ie

IASCA is a new organisation which aims to foster a community of songwriters, composers and authors, and to lobby and campaign on their behalf. Board members are Cathy Davey – Chair, Joe Chester, Fiachra Trench, Luka Bloom, Luán Parle, Moya Brennan and Shay Healy.

Cathy Davey, Chair of IASCA said “it is great to finally have our own association in Ireland, one that will listen to us, and act on our behalf. “IASCA understands that music writers are experiencing major difficulties in the ever-changing music industry and often feel isolated. They have created a private members area on their website www.iasca.ie, where music writers can connect, discuss issues and support one another. The organisation is open to registered members of IMRO, and to join IASCA you must have an IMRO CAE number. Payement is via credit card or laser which can be completed on-line. Postal Registration is by way of an application form, which can be found on line. Membership is €50 per year.
