This year all the guests are linked by the theme of family, grandsons, brothers & sisters, parents & children, husbands & wives. The weekend will also see Nicholas Carolan launch The Inishowen Song Collection Project – a collaboration between the Inishowen Traditional Singers’ Circle & the Irish Traditional Music Archive.

The ITMA website will give free and open access to recordings, photographs & texts of the songs featured in My parents reared me tenderly, songs collected by Jimmy McBride & Jim MacFarland in Inishowen and published in 1985. Funded by Inishowen Development Partnership this will be the first dedicated digital collection of traditional songs from Inishowen providing a wonderful resource to local singers and those from further afield.
