A great weekend of traditional music and dance the beautiful County of Dorset

The Minster town of Wimborne, Dorset will once again come alive with the colour and spectacle of dancers and musicians tempting locals and visitors, some of who will travel miles, to be part of this fantastic weekend.

For over 30 years Wimborne has embraced this event and been host to one of the most popular and highly respected folk festivals in the South of England which has a reputation for booking some of the best Irish, Scottish & English acts on the folk music scene today.

Lúnasa, Cara, Heidi Talbot, John McCusker & Boo Hewerdine, Rua Macmillan: Damien O’Kane, Ed Boyd & John Joe Kelly, The Outside Track, Mike Silver & Jo Partridge are just some of the many artists appearing over the festival weekend. From Friday through to late Sunday there are concerts, ceilidhs, dance displays, festival folk club open stage, English & Irish music sessions, workshops (including the very popular Irish Set Dance & Appalachian dance) and a craft & charity street market throughout the town. There’s activities for the kids also and the nearby festival campsite makes it easy to stay for the entire weekend. Don’t miss it!
