July 6th–8th, 2012
www.gooikoorts.be

This year Gooikoorts celebrates their 10th anniversary. And as in previous years they will spoil their visitors with traditional music from all over Europe, a unique luthier market place, plus a high standard restaurants with their charming welcome. The Gooikoorts Festival is all about Traditional Music.

In 2012 instruments powered by metal reeds will share the theme of the program. Guidewires featuring: Pádraig Rynne on concertina, Jamie Smith’s Mabon from Wales, Susana Seivane from Galicia and Ricardo Tesi from Italy will play at the festival. But also the great
Mandolin man from Flanders will play an acoustic concert on our second stage.

The trusted concept is maintained. 11 concerts, 4 acoustic concerts, a concert mass, 3 bals (ceilidh), a hugh luthier market place,
workshops, and for the smallest festival visitors a kids animation will assure you will have the time of their life. What makes
Gooikoorts so special is this relaxed casual atmosphere. You will find time to enjoy the music, the food and the great beers. You will
find time to chat with people with Jam sessions going on after the concerts until early morning under the Duvel Dreamship, a fantastic
shelter structure where you will find in the bar.

Festival location: Gooik–central Belgium near Brussels. For GPS:
Dorpsstraat in Gooik. For further information contact Patrick De Loecker.
