Tionscnamh Lugh Featuring: Liz Carroll, Tommy Peoples, MairtÍn O Connor, Dave Flynn and Donal Lunny

If you’re interested in traditional music, Tionscnamh Lugh in County Donegal should be your first point of contact. Concerts featuring: Liz Carroll /Tommy Peoples /Mairtín O’Connor and Dave Flynn. Also, Dermot Bryne, Steve Cooney, Donal Lunny, John McSherry and Padraig Rynne and local heroes Altan.

Ian Smith of Tionscnamh Lugh says “we are a not for profit organisation, and love what we do. People understand we promote high quality at a reasonable cost to our audiences. If we didn’t bring the best high quality acts to the Gaeltacht region, who else would? that’s what keeps us going strong. Tionscnamh Lugh are very grateful for the support of the Arts Council in recent years, particularly the traditional Arts section”.

Go to Donegal and attend any of their Trad Trathnona sessions.This year, you can see Capercaillies, Karen Matherson, Donald Shaw and Manus Lunny, Danny Meehan & Nell Ní Chróinin,  Johnny Connolly, Garry O’ Briain, Seosamh Ó Neachtain, the Glenties Campbell’s and many more. You will find separately and simultaneously art classes for children, while, the best–known of traditional artists share the stage, with the best local artists, each Tuesday in July and August in 2012. Not forgetting regular songwriting workshops, Mick Hanly is next up following a Concert with Arty McGlynn on July 14th.
