Taking place the first weekend of November, the Copenhagen Irish Festival marks the highlight of  the year in Irish music and culture in Copenhagen. The Copenhagen Irish Festival is well– known for excelling in a very varied program of mainly traditional Irish music, presenting both well–established and upcoming artists.

It has a reputation of being able to spot the newest and hottest upcoming bands which places the festival as one of the places to go to experience the next big thing on the Irish music scene. There is plenty of festival atmosphere in the festival café with trad sessions all night open to all musicians. Copenhagen Irish Festival is also a culture festival featuring art exhibitions, dance, poetry readings, lectures and Irish films.

Headlining this year’s festival are Paul Brady & Sharon Shannon and Paul Brady is doing a special acoustic session.
