Ennis Roots Weekend is a new Gathering inspired event for Co. Clare, the home of traditional music. Following on from the success of Love: live music – Ennis last year, Clare’s county town will again host a free concert on June 21st to connect with music day around the globe. Developing to a full weekend of music for 2013, the festival will be filled with events for visitors and locals alike to take part in and come together to enjoy some of Ireland’s best known musicians and groups and even have the opportunity to join them on stage! You can take a tour of their boutique town and meet shop owners who will be offering a great Ennis welcome.

They will be reaching out to lovers of traditional music around the world through some great bands with ‘Clare Connections’, to experience the groups at home and have the opportunity to join them in music both on stage and at sessions. Join them as they attempt to break the Guinness world record for the largest tin whistle ensemble during our free concert on Friday 21st June.
