THE 40th FLEADH NUA, ENNIS, COUNTY CLARE

This year will be the occasion of the 40th Fleadh Nua to be held in Ennis, Co. Clare from May 19th – May 27th. It is also the Year of the Gathering and Fleadh Nua 2013 will welcome people from all corners of the world to celebrate with concerts, ceilis, singing sessions, music session trail, street entertainment, recitals, CD launches, free lunchtime concerts, set and ceili dancing competitions and much more.

The Kilfenora Céilí Band will present their new ‘Gathering’ inspired show, Spraoi on Sunday 26th May and on Saturday 25th May. ‘A Celebration of London Musicians at Fleadh Nua 2013’ will be performed by The Mulkere Traditional Music Group.

The internationally acclaimed band, Four Men and a Dog will pay a rare visit to Clare to perform on Friday 24th.

Great concerts are only a part of Fleadh Nua. People come to be a part of Fleadh Nua.  Whether you want to play music, dance sets, view exhibitions, take part in a walking tour or follow the lively session trail, there is something of interest for everyone. And if you wish to take a break from the excitement of the Fleadh, you are only a short distance from many of the most beautiful locations in Ireland, here in Co. Clare, between the majestic Shannon and the Atlantic Ocean.

The Fleadh Nua gig rig will feature great performances from groups and individuals, young and old, followed by an open air ceili.
