Irish Fair of Minnesota

The 2013 Irish Fair of Minnesota, a three-day annual celebration of Irish heritage and culture, will be held Friday, August 9th through Sunday, August 11th on Harriet Island in St. Paul, Minn. With nearly 100,000 attendees each year, this event is the largest free celebration of its kind in the Upper Midwest.

Once again, the Irish Fair of Minnesota will provide a family– friendly experience featuring a multitude of activities, including traditional music, Irish dance, Gaelic sports, native Irish dogs, the Fitzgerald Piping Contest, the Best Legs in a Kilt Contest, the 5k Run with the Celts, the “Irish Got Talent” contest, a variety of Irish shopping opportunities, and an array of food and beverage options.

From internationally–known to locally–grown, the entertainment stages will feature some of the best Irish music. A sampling of bands already booked include: The Belfast Cowboys, Boiled in Lead, FullSet, Gaelic Storm, HiBs, Hounds of Finn, Irish Brigade, Katie McMahon, The Screaming Orphans, The Tim Malloys, The Tossers, and Wild Colonial Bhoys.

Irish Fair of Minnesota is a 501(c)3 non-profit and volunteer– driven organization that provides an opportunity for individuals to express passion for their heritage, support the Irish cultural renaissance, and strengthen the vitality of new immigrant communities in Minnesota.
