The 16th Gathering Traditional Festival returns from February 18th – 22nd, 2015 to The Gleneagle Hotel with concerts, ceilís, workshops and a guarantee of a non-stop weekend of music, dance and fun.

Toes will be tapping with a finely tuned mix of concerts, ceilís, workshops and sessions. Concerts with A Stór Mo Chroí, Arcady and The Unwanted, Jackie Daly, Paul De Grae, Meatí Jo Shéamuis, Eilish Kennedy, Johnny Ringo McDonagh, Dezi Donnelly, Caoimhín O Fearghail and many more.

For those of you with energy to burn the ever popular Ceilís return with Uí Bhriain, 5 Counties Ceilí Band, Neily O Connor, Striolan Ceilí Band and Johnny Reidy Ceilí Band. Our popular set-dancing workshops for beginners, with Gearoid Devanney and advanced with Tony Ryan is back and Songs and Stories from Kerry with Eddie Lenihan & Ray O Sullivan.

Also returning for to the Gathering for 2015 is the Session on the Lakes, weather permitting, along with a Singers Concert with Jim Walsh, Christy Cronin, Pat Sullivan, Meabh Begley and more.

The Gathering Festival plays host to numerous music and dance workshops throughout the festival.

These workshops have been a fixture at The Gathering Festival for many years, and help players improve their skills with some of the best tutors around.

This includes intermediate/advanced masterclasses in Fiddle with Connie O’ Connell, Accordion with Bryan O Leary and Paudie O Connor, Flute with Billy Clifford, Concertina with Ann McAuliffe and Tin Whistle with Padraig Buckley.

With the traditional music trip to Sliabh Luachra, CD Launches and more concerts to be announced The Gathering Traditional Festival promises traditional music sessions throughout the weekend all under one roof!
