Milwaukee Irish Fest Announces 2015 Board of Directors

Milwaukee Irish Fest announces its 2015 board of directors. Board members re-elected are: Pat Fitzgibbons (Whitefish Bay), Peter LaBonte (Milwaukee), Colleen Kennedy (Elm Grove) and Linda Klibowitz (Wauwatosa).

New members include John Daley (Milwaukee). John has been volunteering with Milwaukee Irish Fest for the past 23 years, most recently serving as a stage-manager.

Existing board members are: Donna Brady, past president (Milwaukee), Eileen Carpenter (Milwaukee), Timm Heck (Wauwatosa), Bernie McCartan (Oconomowoc), Maureen Modlinski (Franklin), Cynthia Nazario (Milwaukee), Stewart Oliver (Elm Grove), Mona Pliskie (Brookfield), Catherine Ward (Brookfield) and Ed Ward (Brookfield).

Officers elected are: Catherine Ward, president (Brookfield), Linda Klibowitz, vice president (Wauwatosa), Cynthia Nazario, secretary (Milwaukee) and Pat Fitzgibbons, treasurer (Whitefish Bay).

“The festival is celebrating its 35th year in August and we could not have done it without our dedicated volunteer board members and staff,” said Patrick Boyle, executive director of Milwaukee Irish Fest. “Their vision and passion is one of the reasons Milwaukee Irish Fest continues to be a top festival in the city, as well as the largest celebration of its kind.”

All board appointments are volunteer positions. Directors were selected who will uphold Milwaukee Irish Fest’s mission, which is to preserve, promote and celebrate all aspects of Irish, Irish American and Celtic cultures, and to instill in current and future generations an appreciation of their heritage.
