BARRULE FOR LORIENT

The Manx Celtic music trio Barrule will be one of the headliners at this year FIL in Lorient, the world’s biggest Celtic festival with Cornwall and the Isle of Man being the featured Celtic Nations this year. Barrule, Adam Rhodes bouzouki, Tomas Callister fiddle and Mabon’s accordion player Jamie Smith, play Manx tunes in the style of Lúnasa and are joined by Calum Stewart the flute and pipes player from Scotland. Their new album will be reviewed in out 20th anniversary issue, which is out next month. The album Mannan’s Cloak is already gaining high praise from traditional music critics.
