Siamsaíocht@6! … new season starts soon!

A new season of the popular monthly musical event ‘Siamsaíocht@6!’, organized by Gael Linn, kicks off on Thursday, 20 October next in the Powerscourt Townhouse Theatre, South William Street, Dublin.

Taking part will be Raw Bar Collective anchors,  flute-player Conal Ó Gráda from Cork,  Waterford native Benny McCarthy, who plays button accordion and melodeon, and fiddler Dave Sheridan who hails from Offaly, all long recognised as among the top instrumentalists in Ireland. With a refreshingly uncluttered approach to playing, the Raw Bar Collective present a vibrant and excitingly earthy style of Irish Traditional music. The Raw Bar Collective focus on connecting with the listener. Their music is presented with warmth, wit, passion and respect, and they are much sought after for festivals and concerts at home and abroad.  The Raw Bar Collective  released their first album, ‘Millhouse Measures’ in 2011, and their latest, ‘Ag Fogairt an Lae’ has just come on stream.

An evening of exceptional music is guaranteed for those who come along to their concert in the Powerscourt Theatre on the 20 October. Starting at 6p.m., the event will conclude at 8p.m.  A selection of snacks, along with wine, beer, tea and coffee, will be available to buy in the venue. A small number of tickets are still available, at the reasonable price of €10.
