Hup – TG4’s Traditional Music Series Returns for 2nd Series

Hup is back for a second season! Ireland’s freshest traditional music show returns to TG4, travelling the country to showcase our finest musicians. Over 13 programmes, we’ll be visiting summer schools and festivals nationwide, highlighting the regional diversity of traditional music across the island. An octogenarian master shares the billing with an emerging youngster who is causing a stir, and families perform together on campsites, in barges, and in an eclectic mix of locations. With no presenter or narration, the music speaks for itself! This season, we’ll be in Baltimore, Carrick on Bannow, Doolin, Armagh and Kilfenora, featuring music from beloved artists including Trí Tones, Tommy Emmanuel, Fiachna Ó Braonáin, Liam Ó Maonlaí and The Ó Mongáin family.

Join us as we explore the nation’s wonderful musical heritage!
