Get to Know We Banjo 3
We Banjo 3 performed for the first time in the U.S. when they made their Milwaukee Irish Fest debut in 2012. Five years in a row they’ve performed at the festival, captivating audiences and becoming fan favorites. And now, they’re headlining the Kickoff to Milwaukee Irish Fest Concert!
We Banjo 3 accomplished what no other Irish band has accomplished upon the release of their latest 2016 CD, String Theory, by becoming the first independent Irish band to hit Number One on the Billboard World Music charts!

From Galway, Ireland, We Banjo 3 plays a blend of traditional Irish, old-time American and bluegrass to reveal the banjo’s rich legacy and roots. The band has released four CD’s, all receiving national and internatioal recognition. Comprised of two sets of brothers, Martin Howley and David Howley, Fergal Scahill and Enda Scahill, these multi-instrumentalists and All-Ireland champions (winning titles on the banjo, fiddle, bodhran and guitar) make a bold and extraordinary musical statement. Creativity, sensitivity and passion are present in full measure and Irish music is at the heart of what they play.

Modern rhythms, traditional melodies, virtuosic technique and innovative arrangements of music and song add up to an incredible feast of banjo and mandolin music - guaranteed to put a smile on your face and get your feet tapping!
